Indiana FIRST just finished celebrating a weekend of sportsmanship, coopertition, and robots. The FRC Indiana State Championship took place from Friday, April 13— Saturday, April 14. During this time, 32 FRC teams gathered to compete in 2018’s game, FIRST PowerUp. Teams battled opposing alliances on the arcade floor as Red vs. Blue vied for higher point totals. Team 135 was honored to have participated in this weekend’s events, and looks forward to competing again next year during FRC’s 2018-2019 season.

Our St. Joseph District Event Planning Committee was honored to receive the IndianaFIRST Founder’s Award for their amazing leadership and organization of the St. Joseph District Event. Penn Robotics’ very own McKenna Hillsdon-Smith will be progressing on to FIRST’s World Championships later this month. McKenna won Indiana’s esteemed Dean’s List Finalist Award, and will represent Team 135 in Detroit.
